Homeward bound
Homeward bound. As we begin our trek home, we see some pretty heavy rains down the road. Luckily, they dropped south and east of us before we arrived. We arrived at our campground in Amboy, IL a little earlier than we expected. This allowed us to look up a nearby state park to visit. Our choice was Castle Rock. It sounded good but it ended up very disappointing. There was no place to view Castle Rock but we were allowed to climb steps to it's top. The view was ok but not what we expected. Walking along the river below there were some fairly interesting places. Driving around the farm land of upper Illinois, there are some beautiful places. Our original plan was to avoid the heat and our plan came together. We haven't had any days above 85 degrees. A lot of our days in Duluth never got above the mid 70s and there was generally a good wind. So far, the only rain we have had was one night in Duluth. Th...
