The return to Southwest Colorado

We have failed to bring our blog up to date for over two years thus things have changed with blog.  I thought this picture kind of signified how we travel.  SLOW in our metal covered wagon.  This shot was from  Beaufort, SC on our spring trip to Charleston.

Because I am having to become educated as to how to use this again you will see major mistakes.

Now I want to try and give an overview of our planned trip to Colorado.

Since it has been so long since I have done one of these blogs, I hope that I am doing it correctly.

On Wednesday, May 26, we will begin a trip into the southwest corner of Colorado.  Our intent is to go on I 40 to Gallup, NM and spend an extra night there to visit some of the area(Chaco Canyon etc.) Then drive north to Cortez, CO for a few days hoping to see the Durango(maybe if there is room on the train ride it up to Silverton), there is also an area across the border into Utah that has a gooseneck on a river(photo op).  After Cortez we go to Montrose(Black Canyon) for a few days and other tourist spots.  From there we will head up toward Grand Junction to hit I 80 to Denver and up to Loveland where we will stay and drive down to Longmont to join up with Jan's brother, Jack and sister in law, Mary Betty Masters.  We will meet them a go to see Jan's and Jack's sister Joann in Longmont for a late lunch.  After that we begin the long ride home across Nebraska toward home.

If this blog works I hope to put some pictures along to share our trip.  If you have any feedback it would be greatly appreciated.  This is our Lowe Down for now.
