Day to catch up
June 17, 2022
Today is a down day. We start by going into town and hiking Tubbs Hill. This hike is just behind the resort and about 2 blocks from downtown proper. This little trail goes around a small peninsula into Lake Coeur d’Alene. Lots of folks on the trail even at 6:00 am. All were super nice to us. Jan and I enjoyed the hike very much.
Getting back to the campground, it was laundry and clean up
day. Of course this is a rather mundane
thing to do. NOT! When your laundry is different everywhere you
go and the RV is not the most ergonomically designed vehicle. At home, everything is spread out, here things
are on top of each other and that includes us too. Even though we each have our jobs to do, we
seem to be bouncing off of each other doing them
Laundry is something that we have to do together. Someone has to be the carrier of the laundry, while the other controls what is happening. Today we ran upon something totally new at the laundry here at the campground. Coinless washers and dryers.
This sounds great however, there had to be an “app” downloaded and tied into a credit card, PayPal or some other payment method. This might have been something that worked fine had there been WIFI at the laundry. After a couple of trips back to the RV for WiFi, we were finally ready to use it. Thanks to another lady at the laundry we were able to use this new fangled thing. Using this app we could see how much time was left, allowing us to not have to be there for the entire time.
Grocery shopping was the end of the day for us.
To finish, a few sculptors and comparisons of how smooth the moose is.
